A dedicated team of volunteers providing individuals with adaptive ski lessons and the opportunity to learn basic skills on dry ski slopes in South Wales at Pembrey Ski Club. The adaptive ski club members get to experience the thrills, confidence boosting, and exhilaration associated with adaptive skiing, and regular lessons can show dramatic improvement in core stability, coordination and balance and an amazing effect on the patients overall rehabilitation and functional ability.
We are quite simply in awe of the achievements of this awesome local charity…
Through the money and awareness raised from The Big Cwtch Summer Party 2016 Ski4All Wales has gone from strength to strength enabling the group to train several new adaptive instructors, secure advanced BASI Level 2 training for 4 instructors and purchase much needed equipment which means that the club has been able to double its membership and deliver over 750 bespoke one to one skiing sessions in the past year.
The work of Ski4All Wales cannot be underestimated providing and promoting access to sport and enabling people who thought they could never experience an adrenaline rush again to find that exhilaration and believe that there really are #nolimits
A poignant quote from one on of the parents of a ski club member really sums it all up. Amazing Mum Val, who’s son acquired his brain injury as a toddler recently messaged the group to say thank you and said that ‘ski club has made the difference between existing and living’ for her son.
… and this is why we are proud to continue our support of Ski4All Wales as The Big Cwtch Summer Party 2017 Headline Charity
